By using our site, you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please review the following terms carefully. If you do not agree to these terms, you should not use this site. The term “United Tours”, “United Minibuses and Coaches Ltd.” or “us”, “we”, or “our” refers to United Minibuses and Coaches Ltd; the owner of this site. The term “you”, “customer(s)”, “student(s)” refers to the users and viewers of this website.

Customers are required to be at departure points 15 minutes prior to departure of the tour. Tour departure times and meeting points are listed on our website and confirmed on your ticket. Failure to arrive on time will result in missing the tour and no refund will be issued.

 

Delivery

Upon successful processing of the booking a link to the ticket will be emailed to the email address provided to us at the time of registration, this will require logging in to your personal portal on our website. You will also be able to print your ticket at the completion of booking process.

 

Payment

Online Booking Payments will be processed using Stripe. You do not need to have an account with Stripe to be able to make online payments.

 

Cancellation & Refunds

Tours

Once a booking has been made for a tour, that includes accommodation or ticket events, it is not possible to cancel the tour within 7 days of departure. Cancellation between 14 and 7 days will incur 50% cancellation fee of the paid ticketed price*. For a 100% refund 15 days’ written notice must be given to United Tours by emailing tours@unitedcoaches.co.uk or by calling 01293 781000*. If the payment was made by credit/debit card, the refund process will normally take between 7 to 10 working days. As for cash payments, the refunds will be posted to the address we have listed, and made by cheque.

*The only exceptions to the above are for the following Tours, where tickets are automatically allocated to the tour goer and therefore the ticket entrances and other costs such as the tour guide are not wholly refundable and only 50% of the ticketed price can be refunded if at least 14 days’ notice is given before the tour travel date. The following tours will incur a 100% charge and are not refundable if the tour goer would like a refund within 10 days of the tour travel date:

Airport pick ups time allowance 

When customers get picked up from the airport after coming off a flight we allow maximum  1 hour  waiting from time of scheduled landing time,unless we are requested to delay or pick up earlier at time of making a booking . Any other extra time for waiting  will be charged accordingly dependent on vehicle size hired.

There will always be a airport permit  charge  dependent on airport, only when picking up from the airport.

Private Hire of Minibuses and/or Coaches

Once availability and pricing of the vehicle has been confirmed, a deposit of 50% must be paid 7 days in advance of the travel date to confirm the booking.

The remainder of the balance of the booking must be paid within 2 days of the travel date.

If the booking is made within 2 days of the travel date, the full amount of the booking quote must be paid to confirm the booking.

For the cancellation of the private hire of a coach or minibus the following timelines are eligible for a refund as well as when deposits will not be refundable and when full payments are due:

  1. Giving more than 7 days’ notice to cancel the private hire of a minibus or coach – any monies paid to date will be 100% refunded – either the 50% deposit or if the full booking has been paid for
  2. Cancelling within 7 days of the travel date – The 50% deposit paid will be non-refundable
  • Cancelling within 2 days of the travel date – 100% of the booking price will be payable

If the payment was made by card, the refund process will normally take between 7 to 10 working days. As for cash payments, the refunds will be posted to the address we have listed, and made by cheque.

 

Accommodation

Accommodation standard is: Double Room: 2 people sharing, Twin Room: 2 people sharing room with 2 beds. Single room: 1 person in private room. Upgrades are available at extra cost and are subject to availability. Please select the necessary room type when booking or alternatively contact the office for room upgrades.

 

Travel & Excursions

Customers are required to ensure they have the correct documents for travel to European destinations, including Passport and Visa which are required by some nationalities.

United Tours uses the services of other agents such as ferry companies, coach operators, and hotels. United Tours cannot be held responsible for the failure of any of these companies to supply the services required or for any delays resulting in such failure. In the event that any of our suppliers are unable to deliver the services required, United Tours will make every effort to make alternative arrangements so that the trip takes place or continues as per the schedule.

 

Your Conduct

United Tours reserves the right to deny carriage of passengers. Anyone who becomes aggressive, continually disobeys requests from the driver or tour guide, or is deemed to be putting other passengers at risk will risk being removed from the tour. If you are removed from the tour it will be your responsibility to arrange and pay for your return transport.

 

Customer Responsibilities

The Customer’s Party must be and remain properly behaved at all times. The Driver may refuse to allow a passenger to board the Vehicle or eject them from the Vehicle if, in his sole discretion, he considers them unfit to travel for whatever reason (for example, being intoxicated or abusive). The Driver may refuse to continue a journey if in his sole discretion he considers any passenger to be behaving in such a way as may put the safety of other persons and/or the contents of the Vehicle and/or the Vehicle itself at risk. Drinking on the coach is always at the driver’s discretion and for certain sporting events is legally prohibited.

 

Damage to Vehicle

We maintain a strict standard of cleanliness in relation to our Coaches. The Customer shall be responsible and liable for any soiling or damage to the outside or the interior of the Vehicle by the Customer’s Party howsoever caused. Should the Vehicle require specialist or non-routine cleaning before its next trip as a result of any conduct on the part of the Customer’s Party, (in particular for the removal of vomit and disinfecting of affected areas) then, without prejudice to its other rights and remedies, UMC shall be entitled to recharge the cost of such cleaning to the Customer. The Customer shall be fully responsible for all the acts and omissions of the Customer’s Party and acknowledges on behalf of the Customer’s Party the responsibility of passengers for their conduct under the Conduct Regulations at all times.
Costs for vehicle being soiled or damaged £150.00

Where a deposit is requested for certain bookings, the journey to and from the destination will need to be a strictly no alcohol onboard policy. This is either carrying or drinking alcohol. United Minibuses and Coaches have the right to terminate a journey if this condition is not upheld by the customer(s)

If a deposit is not paid United Minibuses and Coaches have the right to refuse passengers on board entry of vehicles and refuse to carry out the remainder of the journey, with the initial funds paid being non-refundable.

United Minibuses and Coaches operates a strict no drug or legal high policy. If any drugs or legal highs are found on board or used by a customer, United Minibuses and Coaches will terminate the journey and report the incident to the relevant authorities.

Additional daily vehicle costs for vehicle being off the road due to above may also be charged if vehicle is unable to be prepared ready for next day.

 

Miscellaneous

Brochure descriptions and prices are accurate at the time of printing but United Tours reserves the right to amend the itinerary as circumstances dictate although all advertised components of the tour will be included they may not take place in the order described. In the event that United Tours has to cancel any tour due to insufficient number of bookings then a full refund will be given. Notification of cancelled tours will be given at least 12 hours prior to trip departure dates.

All tour information shows example itineraries to use as a guideline. Please note that the order we visit various attractions may change depending on the circumstances or time of year. Please follow the advice of your guide and make sure that you are at the various pickup points and departures at the correct times.

 

Supervision for students under 18 / under 16

United Tours does not carry passengers under the age of 16 years of age unless they are accompanied by an adult (over 18) who has been given authority to act as the legal guardian. On tours where under 16s are carried on tours a group leader must be present who assumes legal guardian responsibility.

Where no group leader is present, students under 18 but over 16 (on date of travel) may travel unaccompanied on day trips only and not overnight tours, subject to the following conditions: In accordance with British Council guidelines students who are aged 16 & 17 and booked on an adult course are classed as adults and are able to travel independently on United Tours. However, this is at the discretion of the school/ students’ parents and school staff deem the student to be mature enough to take responsibility as an adult.

Students under 16 years old must always be accompanied. United Tour managers can at no time accept the responsibility of guardianship or responsibility of passengers under the age of 16 years as they are there for the purpose of tour management only.
